All proceeds benefit AFESIP in Cambodia, an amazing organization that conducts raids to rescue girls from forced prostitution. They also house and care for the girls during their therapy at AFESIP centers in Cambodia and Vietnam, provide skills training and medical care for them as well as their children. It's an incredible process. It is my hope that this album will not only raise money for AFESIP but to help spotlight human trafficking around the world and the particular plight of women today worldwide.

There are not enough tears in the world To wash away what's happening here There are never too many voices singing loud enough To quiet the fears of the dark And the moon she knows you Let her hold your secrets there and may you Be free to live. 'Cause These Things Do Not Define You There's a part of you You can always return to A fire down inside where The light will dry your crying eyes Let the rain wash away The hot and dusty night May you rise with the flowers of the day. May each day be blessed, may your spirit come alive You are beauty, you are light, you are love And possibility is shown in the ever open sky It stretches on and on and on.

How Could You Know How could you know what they told you wasn’t true Why would you stay when, there was nothing left to do How could it be that spirits could be locked down How could you stand up with no one on your side Believe me girl you tried How could they not know this was never your fault Where can you go when another language drowns you out What are these lights for but bringing darkness in Nothing of the earth should be for sale How do we carry this weight? Why does the whole world hesitate? We are our own prayers now Women in the world can no longer be held down Give us the right to come alive in this life Give us the freedom from violence and shame We all have the love that when met with love makes more Makes us more thoughtful than we were before How do we carry this weight? Why does the whole world hesitate? We are our own prayers now Women in the world can no longer be held down When was it forgotten, women lead in peace There is a wisdom that nations deeply need We have to move forward, leaving the dark behind Take care of each other nations side by side How do we carry this weight? Why does the whole world hesitate? We are our own prayers now Women in the world can no longer be held down How could you know what… How could it be that… How could they not know…

Connected by the Seas Bravely walking Everyone’s talking That birds are flapping their wings Feathers falling A silent dawning Of freedom in the skies Brought from the shell of a seed Rooted in the soils of our countries Connected by the seas Together we’re waking In the morning baking The bread that is making us free Alongside working with Respect that is nurturing The girls bringing natural beauty The young they are growing Rooted in the soils of our countries Connected by the seas Taking care of the One to each side of Us, we can all be free Sun’s light is waiting To be used for growing To stop the scorching of seeds The elders before us, the trees Rooted in the soils of our countries Connected by the seas Waiting for remembering

Dream in Blue Sleep darling sleep The world outside your door Have peace darling peace May safety be yours Come close darling close Protect you in your sleep Dream darling dream Of things you’ve never seen The morning’s coming soon Til then a dream in blue Speak darling speak My ears are yours Hold on now hold on Just the other side of this door. A time’s coming soon All of this will change So look darling look It’s coming any day The morning’s coming soon Til then a dream in blue The morning’s coming soon Til then a dream in blue

Don’t Have the Right They don’t have the right To say what it is you can and cannot do They don’t have the right They don’t have it right To force someone to do what they would not do They don’t have it right They don’t the right To judge a woman for what she’s been made to do No one has the right Don’t listen to (no voices of doubt) You know what to do (don’t let them take away) All the things you thought (you could you can do) Sha Sha-la-la Wake up, turn the news down There’s no question what it is we do now They don’t have their rights I wanna wake up in a place where everyone’s free I wanna be the change, the change I want to see Darkness in your heart (it’s time to let go) Let your spirit (ready to grow) We can’t wait no more (it’s time to go) You know what to do (it’s in your heart now) Use the things you do (to make a change now) You create the news (you see each day) Sha-la-la Sha Let the states protect the children Let the mothers protect the children Let the men unite protect the women Let the girls know their power Women hold the piece (the missing piece now) Hold them up to see (the light, the light) Show the children please (what the world can be) Sha Sha-la-la

On and On I want you to say But you’re not saying anything anyway And surely the silence comes again And I’m left wondering What is something I said Or someone else That turned you off? Something I’m sure I’ll grow to regret As we move On On I just want you to hear this To hear this Counting the leaves on summer trees They’re drifting down And surely silence comes again We’re out of time So out of time What is something I said Or someone else That turned you off? Something I’m sure I’ll grow to regret As we move On On And I And I And I On As we move on I just want you to hear this To hear this

Keep on Walking These roads go on forever When will they find an ending How do I go on When I’ve seen what I’ve seen What do I believe? The worst things can’t last forever But fear is so hard to master Why can they not see Who I am and that I want to leave To leave I’ll take on what I have to Nothing could be as awful Why was it me And where does this anger go to be? (Each of us, has been created beautifully) I’m finding space to understand I have a place But hardest still are the nights we feel I’ve walked right through the dark I still hold a heavy heart I’ve been alone so long How do I believe these things I want to see? Now that the time has come to move on Where will I go And what things do I know How do I stop the fear Stop the fear (You are not a mistake. I want to say that again, you are not a mistake) I’m finding space to understand I have a place But hardest still are the nights we feel I will still keep on walking These streets to help in solving those still not free Girls are not for sale Are not commodities

Quietly they walk her to the car No one knew what to do Quietly the world still stands there stunned How could that be true? What else could be What else could be true? What else should we, what else should we do? Quietly she's shaped with special words With everything to lose Carelessly we speak without concern Don't be so sensitive... What else can she What else can she lose? What else could we, what else can we do? What else should we, what else could we do? Quietly we tell ourselves it's hard How can we get through? It's easy when there's no one there to say You can't do that to her Quietly she steps into the night What else could she do? Quietly she's fighting for her life Like everyone she knew. What else can she What else can we do? How can this be, how can this be true? What else can we, what else can we lose? What else can we, what else can we choose? Quietly your friend walks to the car What else could she do?
